The Case Against - Halloween

CHARGE #1: Halloween is not “innocent fun for children”, it is a high satanic holiday. It is another example of demonic rebranding for acceptance by the masses.

CHARGE #2: Halloween is an example modern day sugar-coated paganism.

INTRODUCTION

Every October many individuals, especially those with children, prepare for the upcoming Halloween festivities. People decorate their homes with pumpkins with faces carved into them. Images of witches, ghosts, skulls, skeletons, spiders and black cats are also common during this time of the year. Parents take their kids shopping for Halloween costumes. People stock up on Halloween candy in anticipation of these little costumed visitors on Halloween. Towns, businesses and individuals host Halloween parties and costume contests. Some towns host Halloween parades in their town with kids and their parents marching down the street in their Halloween costumes and often a town sponsored costume contest immediately follows the conclusion of the parade. It sounds like innocent fun right? That couldn’t be further from the truth!

HISTORY OF HALLOWEEN

Halloween’s origins begin with the ancient pagan religion of Druidism. This religion was practiced by the Celtic people in the British Isles. Many of the modern day symbols and customs of Halloween originated with Druidism. Druids were the religious leaders of the Celtic people and they performed religious rituals in honor of their “gods”, which often collimated in human sacrifice. Many of these Druidic practices are actually forms of witchcraft.

October 31st was a night of terror they called Samhain. On this day, the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was especially thin. This allowed spirits of the dead to visit the living. The Druids would go house to house, taking victims for human sacrifice. In exchange for the victim, they left a Jack-O-Lantern, which was supposed to protect the home from death demons that night.

Many of the Druidic customs and practices are still practiced today, though they have been “watered-down” and “sugar-coated” for modern consumption in order to make them seem harmless. Today, Druidism has been rebranded as Wicca, a supposed nature religion.

HALLOWEEN & SATANISM

Halloween is the mot solemn day for Satanists. Because Satan was an angel created by God, who was known as Lucifer before his fall, he had no birthday. This is because Heaven exists in Eternity in the spiritual realm which is outside of the linear timeline that the physical realm which man resides in. Therefore, Satan adopted October 31st as his birthday. Satan worshippers, who are known as witches and warlocks, prepare all month for this day. Led by their leaders, who are still called Druids to this day, perform incantations needed to place curses on “treats” which will influence children to eat them. The most common kind cursed “treat” is candy. Inside of a pentagram (the symbol of Satanism) they place bottles of poison, syringes, razor blades, broken glass, straight pins, bags of candy, etc. The deaths from poisoned “treats” are considered a human sacrifice to Satan. The cuts from the sharp objects implanted in the “treats” are intended to draw blood, which Satanists consider a blood sacrifice to Satan. This blood sacrifice also empowers the demons that they have within them. Satanists believe that these sacrifices will gain them “blessings” from Satan.

HALLOWEEN SYMBOLS

  • Costumes: According to John Ramirez, a former High Priest of Satan, when you dress up in a costume for Halloween, you change your identity to whatever you are wearing and it attracts those demonic spirits.

  • Jack-O-Lanterns: According to Celtic pagan religious tradition, they are supposed to ward off evil spirits if you provide someone for a human sacrifice to the Druids who are seeking them. Just the opposite is true. These are familiar objects that attract demons as they are what the Bible identifies as idols.

  • Halloween Decorations:  Halloween decorations open up a demonic portal for demons to legally enter your home.
    • Witches – Symbolic of witchcraft. Attracts witchcraft spirits.

    • Black Cats – Symbolic of bad luck. Celts believed evil spirits possessed them on Halloween.

    • Spiders – Attracts creeping demonic spirits.

    • Ghosts – Attracts deceiving spirits who impersonate dead people

THE CASE AGAINST - SCRIPTURE REFERENCES

Prohibition against worshipping other gods and the practice of idolatry:

“I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:2-6)
